- Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka, is the highest (fake) tree ever. The tree is a whopping 73 meters high, 18 meters higher than the previous record holder.

Sitting on the tree as much as 600 000 led lights and a million-painted pine cones for decoration, reports the Daily Mail.

Critics, including the Catholic Church, find the record tree but nothing. They believe that the authorities more than 93 000 which issued it, could better distribute among the poor.
