- Bayern Munich set sights on Liverpool's Gakpo and AC Milan's Leão in summer transfer moves. Manchester United also eyeing Aston Villa's Martínez. Get the latest transfer updates.

Bayern Munich Target Gakpo and Leão in Summer Transfers

Bayern Munich is gearing up for the summer transfer window with plans to make offers for Liverpool's Cody Gakpo and AC Milan's Rafael Leão. The Bundesliga champions are reportedly in talks with the players' representatives, but hefty transfer fees are a hurdle.

Key Targets and Rumors

According to kicker, Bayern Munich has identified Gakpo and Leão as their primary transfer targets. Both players come with a price tag of at least €70m, necessitating Bayern to offload a player to finance the deals. Reports suggest that Joao Palhinha might exit to facilitate Leão's potential transfer.

Leão, 25, had an impressive season with AC Milan, contributing to 16 goals in 34 Serie A appearances. Bayern is expected to table their first offer for the winger soon.

Other Transfer News

Manchester United is also active in the transfer market, exploring a move for Aston Villa's Emiliano Martínez. Contact with the goalkeeper's representatives has been ongoing for six months, although a deal might be challenging due to Villa's high valuation.

Liverpool is in negotiations to secure AFC Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez, but the clubs are struggling to agree on a fee. Aston Villa is linked with Manchester United's Jadon Sancho, who is seeking a European stay amidst interest from various clubs.

Additional rumors include Real Madrid's pursuit of River Plate's Franco Mastantuono and a potential return for Nico Paz. Newcastle United eyes Burnley's James Trafford, while Chelsea considers West Ham's Mohammed Kudus.
