Post-Vaccination Syndrome: Potential Long-Term Health Issues
In a study conducted at Yale University, researchers examined the side effects of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, focusing on 'post-vaccination syndrome' (PVS) which includes brain fog, insomnia, fatigue, and tinnitus.
Immunobiology professor Akiko Iwasaki and her team collected blood samples from 42 individuals experiencing post-vaccination syndrome and 22 healthy individuals as part of the study. They also compared symptoms of 134 long COVID patients and 134 healthy individuals.
Similar to long COVID cases, individuals with post-vaccination syndrome showed reactivation of the Epstein-Barr virus linked to diseases like mononucleosis and multiple sclerosis. Moreover, the spike protein of the coronavirus was found to persist in the body for an extended period.
Experts emphasize the need for further research due to the limited data available, pointing out the significance of the findings.
