Air strikes on airfield Syria, USA deny

homs - A military airfield near the Syrian city of Homs was attacked on Monday morning. Next the state television was the airport target of several missiles and were killed and injured in the attack. The Syrian anti-aircraft drew eight missiles from the air.

Syrian media reports about multiple explosions and suspect that the United States is behind the attack. The US military states in a reaction that it has not carried out air strikes.

US President Donald Trump had threatened with retaliation one day earlier if the Syrian government were to use chemical weapons. According to aid organizations, dozens of people were killed by a toxic attack in Douma on Saturday. The Syrian government, in turn, denies having used chemical weapons.
