Aid Money to Jordan, Lebanon

- The European Union and eight countries, including the Netherlands, on Friday pledged their support for financial assistance for the reception of Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon. The neighbors of the civil war-torn Syria were confronted in recent years with the influx of millions of refugees.

To help Jordan and Lebanon, donors have 125 million euros in subsidies, 880 million of favorable loans and 443 million euros promised guarantees. The World Bank, who leads the program, made Friday. How the costs are distributed, the statement was not immediately clear.

Regardless of the Netherlands and the EU as a whole did Germany, Norway, the US, Britain, France, Japan and Canada commitments.
