Man Used ChatGPT in Planning Explosion at Trump's Hotel in Las Vegas

Authorities in the US revealed that Matthew Alan Livelsberger utilized OpenAI's ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot, in planning the attack that led to the explosion of a Tesla car in front of Trump's hotel in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill stated in a press conference that Livelsberger had used ChatGPT to plan the attack.

When asked about the concerns raised by the use of ChatGPT, McMahill commented, 'We knew that artificial intelligence would eventually change the rules of the game in every aspect of our lives. I believe this is the first incident in the United States where ChatGPT was used to assist an individual in setting up a particular (explosive) device and obtaining information.'

McMahill expressed his concerns about the incident, mentioning, 'However, it is also a learning experience that we need to share with law enforcement agencies and other units across the country.'

Deputy Sheriff Dori Koren also stated that Livelsberger had researched the amount of explosives needed for the operation and where to purchase fireworks using ChatGPT, learning about the explosive potential of fireworks in the process.

Law enforcement officials did not disclose the specific information provided by ChatGPT regarding explosives or firearms.

OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, has not yet made a statement regarding the claims that artificial intelligence was used in the planning process of this attack.

EXPLOSION IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL

On January 1st, around 8:15 am local time, a Tesla car in front of Trump's hotel in Las Vegas exploded, resulting in the death of the individual inside the vehicle and minor injuries to 7 others in the vicinity.

Officials who spoke to the US media identified the individual in the car as Matthew Alan Livelsberger from the US military.

Sheriff Kevin McMahill of Las Vegas Clark County shared information that Livelsberger had shot himself in the head before the car exploded and that a gun was found at his feet.
