465,000 dead after six years of war in Syria

beirut - The lingering Syrian civil war have so far certainly 465,000 people slain or went missing. This was reported in the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights based on their own counts.

The war began six years ago on March 15 to protest against the government of President Bashar al-Assad. Soon started more parties, internationally and regionally, to interfere in the conflict. Islamic State conquered large parts of the country. The war brought the biggest refugee crisis underway since World War II.

The Observatory which uses a network of contacts across the country to monitor the counts, recorded since the beginning of the war, more than 321 000 dead and more than 145 000 people missing. Among the dead are more than 96 000 citizens.
