brussels - Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg must reassure the 500 million EU citizens about their privacy. The President of the European Parliament wants clarity from the head of the social medium that their personal data 'have not been used to manipulate democracy,' according to Antonio Tajani.

Facebook is discredited because personal information from tens of millions of Facebook users in the US would have been abused for Donald Trumps campaign for the presidential election.

The American Federal Trade Commission (FTC) conducts an investigation into the internet company according to American media. The regulator would like to check whether it violated the privacy guidelines that gave the Cambridge Analytica company access to personal information. They were used for Trumps campaign.
