YPG does not think Syrian government support enough

World February 22, 2018 10:12

aleppo - The Kurdish YPG thinks that the support of the Syrian government against the Turkish army is sufficient. That reports a spokesperson for the organization. Damascus sent militias linked to the Syrian army on Tuesday.

YPG says hundreds of fighters went to the front on Thursday to take part in the fighting. 'Groups allied to the Syrian army have come, but not with enough manpower to do something about the Turkish occupation and to protect the borders,' said the spokesperson.

One witness reported Thursday that Syrian government troops also pulled in Aleppo. The YPG denies that government soldiers or other officials have arrived in that city. Aleppo has been under the control of YPG since December 2016.
