Woman jumps out of taxi, gets seriously injured

bergheim - A German woman who apparently was short of cash has been jumped from a moving taxi in Bergheim (North Rhine-Westphalia). The eighteen-year-old was seriously injured.

The young woman from Elsdorf had confessed during the ride no money and no proof of identity, after which the driver drove towards the police station. His passenger decided not to wait for that. She suddenly opened the car door and jumped out of the vehicle, reports the police on Monday.

The woman sustained serious injuries due to the fall. The taxi driver called the emergency services, who transferred his passenger to the hospital.
