london - Theresa May can breathe with relief. For the time being, the Prime Minister will remain in control of the British side of the Brexit negotiations.
With a tiny margin of two votes (314 against 312 votes), the House of Commons voted away a proposal that would give parliament the opportunity next week to devise an alternative to the course of the government. With that, May and her government would actually be sidelined.
