geneva - The fight against the further spread of the dreaded Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo is proceeding according to plan. That says Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the World Health Organization (WHO). 'It is stabilizing. We are optimistic, cautiously optimistic. '
The former Ethiopian Minister of Health Sunday goes to the Congolese area where the deadly disease broke out a month ago to inform themselves on the spot of the progress. He then travels to the Central African Republic, where health care as a result of poverty also urgently needs help.
