West jointly condemns the poisoning of Skripals

london - The American, British, German and French leaders have expressed their horror at the assassination of the former Russian double-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.

The countries state in a statement that the attack with a chemical weapon was also an attack on the sovereignty of the United Kingdom and that Russia must be behind it.

They ask the Kremlin to transfer all information about the 'Novitsjok' project, such as the nerve gas used, to research for the international organization that fights chemical weapons, the OPCW in The Hague.

Russia denies any involvement in the assassination attempt on 4 March. Moscow also says it is strange to find that the British do not want to share samples of the nerve gas found.
