rotterdam - The website of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (eur.nl) has been the target of a hacking attack. The hackers have probably had access to the address directory of the university, 25,000 names and email addresses containing staff and students.
Possibly also other information such as account numbers and sick leave realized. There is no evidence yet that the information is misused or leaked.
The attack was discovered Sunday and Thursday reported to the staff and students. The university has reported to the police. Along with a specialized company research is done about the exact scope, impact and cause.
The incident is also reported to the Authority for Personal Data.
