belgrade - Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic (47) has to all appearances by force majeure won the presidential election in Serbia. The prediction is that he gets 58 percent of the vote. That makes a decisive round unnecessary. The candidate of the Sasa Jankovic opposition came out with 14 percent as the second off the bus.

The polling institute Ipsos made this forecast Sunday announced based on 40 percent of the votes counted from a selected number of polling stations. The turnout was disappointing. But appeared slightly more than half of the voters.

The role of president is largely ceremonial in Serbia, but is expected to remain at Vucic all political power as leader of the pro-Europe party SNS. Who also won last year's parliamentary election convincingly.
