Volunteers Tragically Die in Italian Floods

A father and son volunteering to help during severe weather in northern Italy were tragically killed after being swept away by fast-flowing water.

The two volunteers went missing and were found dead 15 kilometers downstream by the fire brigade.

Another casualty was reported in a village northeast of Turin, where a 92-year-old man drowned in his home due to sudden flooding.

Italy experienced heavy rain and significant snowfall in the Alps in recent days. The weather remains unsettled with rain, but no further severe weather is expected during the Easter weekend.
