Vodafone captures bone in right around fine ACM

rotterdam - Vodafone has rightly last year received a fine of 200,000 euros from the Authority's Consumer amp; Market (ACM) for violating the rules regarding net neutrality. Which has ruled the court in Rotterdam.

Vodafone was punished because the customers did look through an app to pay channel HBO, without compromising thereby consumed data into account. In this way, the telecom company sent its customers in what they were doing on the Internet and that is not allowed, according to the ACM.

Simultaneously with Vodafone, KPN was last year fined 250 000 euros, also due to violation of the rules regarding net neutrality. That neutrality, which means that all data must be transmitted under the same conditions, is mandatory in the Netherlands.
