- Palmeiras finalizes the signing of Barcelona striker Vitor Roque for €25 million after FIFA approval.

Vitor Roque Joins Palmeiras

Palmeiras has successfully secured the transfer of Barcelona striker Vitor Roque for an initial €25 million, following FIFA's authorization. The transfer, initially in doubt due to RFEF regulations, was given the green light by FIFA, allowing Roque to return to Brazil just over a year after his move to Europe. Barcelona stands to receive an additional €5m in add-ons and 20% of any future transfer involving Roque. In a separate agreement, Real Betis, where Roque was on loan, gained 30% of winger Abde Ezzalzouli's economic rights in exchange for ending Roque's loan early. Roque, who turned 20 recently, joined Barça last January and later moved to Betis on loan, scoring seven goals in 33 games. Palmeiras prioritized his immediate transfer to prepare for the upcoming Club World Cup, where they will compete in Group A.
