[VIDEO] Migrants rescued from the Mediterranean
madrid - A group of more than thirty refugees was rescued from the Mediterranean after the engine of their rubber boat exploded. The horrific scenes were filmed by staff of the European Agency for Border Guard, Frontex.
The drama took place off the coast of the port city of Almería in southeastern Spain. On images you can see how suddenly flames arise at the rear of the boat. Within the shortest time, the ship is in light lanes. The occupants, all wearing a life jacket, jump into the sea in panic.
Employees of the Portuguese Air Force, who had a frontier patrol for Frontex, got the boat in the visor and drew the drenches one by one out of the water. Two rescue ships brought the refugees to a shelter in Almería.
