tel aviv - For the first time, a serious cycling platoon will pull through the holy land. Where the biblical prophets walked around centuries ago, 176 riders in Jerusalem will step on their bikes on Friday for the start of the Giro d'Italia. Israel has pulled out all the stops, and money bags, to win the round. A very expensive promotional stunt for a country that does not have any cycling tradition.
