Unknown perpetrators have vandalized the grave of French right-wing nationalist Jean-Marie Le Pen, who founded the Front National in the early 1970s. The party, which espoused radical-right and nationalist ideas, was later succeeded by his daughter Marine and renamed Rassemblement National. Marine Le Pen expressed shock at the desecration, stating that there are no words for those who commit such acts, and those who attack the dead are capable of much worse against the living.
