US President Donald Trump has announced that an agreement has been reached on a ceasefire in Gaza between Israel and Hamas. Trump claimed that he played a major role in the ceasefire, stating that 'We have achieved so much before even returning to the White House. Imagine the great things that could be possible once I return.' The negotiations, including a ceasefire in Gaza, have been ongoing with the mediation of the US, Qatar, and Egypt. According to the Katar Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammed bin Abdurrahman Al Sani, an agreement has been reached on prisoner exchange, establishing sustainable peace, and ensuring a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. The ceasefire in Gaza is expected to begin this upcoming Sunday with the first phase of the agreement lasting for 42 days. Al Sani mentioned that Hamas will release 33 Israeli prisoners in exchange for the release of some Palestinian prisoners.
