USWNT Midfielder Korbin Albert Joins Lyon from PSG

United States midfielder Korbin Albert has made a move from Paris Saint-Germain to OL Lyonnes on a three-season contract, extending until June 2028.

Key Details of the Transfer

Albert, who joined PSG in 2022, played 71 matches and scored nine goals during her time with the club. She has also represented the USWNT in 26 matches, winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics last year.

Joining Lyonnes and New Teammates

Albert will be joining fellow American midfielder Lindsey Heaps at Lyonnes, under the leadership of new head coach Jonatan Giráldez. The recent departures of Joe Montemurro and Giráldez's move from Washington Spirit have stirred up the team's coaching staff.

Transfer News and Future Plans

Additionally, USWNT midfielder Lily Yohannes is finalizing her move to Lyonnes from Ajax Amsterdam, with a reported fee of around €450k. Yohannes' contract with Ajax was set to end in June 2026.
