US open to dialogue with North Korea

washington - The United States is open to dialogue with North Korea on the nuclear disarmament of the peninsula, but the responsibility lies with Pyongyang. The Kim Jong-un regime must clearly prove its good will by making generous gestures and refrain from provocations. This was announced by the Foreign Ministry Wednesday.

Spokesman Mark Toner said that the plan that China has launched is not feasible. Beijing suggested that the US and South Korea would stop their annual joint military exercise in exchange for suspending its nuclear- and missile by the North Koreans.

'That's comparing apples to oranges. What we do in terms of defense cooperation with South Korea bears no relation to brazen contempt North Korea on the day puts respect for international law, 'said Toner.
