'US Embassy to Jerusalem before the end of 2019'

jerusalem - The US Embassy in Israel is moving to Jerusalem before the end of next year. That said the American Vice President Mike Pence, who incidentally did not mention a date for the controversial transfer of the diplomatic post.

Pence promised during a speech to the Parliament of Israel that the new embassy will open its doors 'by the end of next year'. President Donald Trump has already ordered to prepare for that move, said the Vice President. The embassy is currently in Tel Aviv.

Trump decided at the end of last year to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. He also promised to move the embassy of his country to that city. The decision led to a lot of commotion internationally. Palestinians see East Jerusalem as their capital in a future Palestinian state.
