washington - US President Donald Trump signed a bill on Monday with a defense budget of $ 716 billion. Its purpose is to modernize the army and to promote preparedness.

Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act, in the presence of thousands of soldiers in Fort Drum, a military base about four hundred kilometers northwest of New York City. The law is 'the most significant investment in our army and our soldiers from modern history,' Trump said.

Obsolete tanks, aircraft and ships will be replaced. The law clears a budget for 77 F35 fighter planes, a new aircraft carrier and other warships, and for the modernization of the American nuclear arsenal. Finally, the US pays $ 500 million to help produce the Israeli missile defense system, $ 850 million to train the Iraqi security services and $ 250 million to support Ukrainian security.
