united states - The US Congress officially confirmed the election victory of President Donald Trump with 312 Electoral College votes, just days before he is set to take the presidential seat for the second time.

The US Congress has officially confirmed the election victory of President Donald Trump, who won the most crucial presidential race of recent times. With a short time left before Trump takes the presidential seat for the second time, the final procedure of the election process was completed with a joint session in Congress.

Vice President of the United States and Democratic candidate in the November 5 elections, Kamala Harris, presided over the joint session where the votes of the Electoral College of states were read one by one.

Following the counting of votes, Trump reached a total of 312 Electoral College votes, solidifying his victory in the presidential elections. Democrat Harris, on the other hand, received the votes of 226 delegates.

During the announcement of the voting results, Harris was visibly upset as she indicated that Trump had earned the presidency for the 47th time in the United States.

Republican Congress members stood up and applauded as Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance's victory was announced, while Democrats only applauded Harris's results.

In conclusion, Trump, who served as president from 2016 to 2020 and lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 elections, will take the presidential seat for the second time on January 20 as the 47th president of the United States.
