US and Germany Support Call for Disarmament by Abdullah Ocalan

The US and German governments have expressed their satisfaction with PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan's call for the PKK to disarm and dissolve. German government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit shared Prime Minister Olaf Scholz's message.

Scholz welcomed Ocalan's call for the PKK to disarm and dissolve, stating that the PKK's actions have led to too many casualties. The call is seen as an opportunity to overcome violence.

White House National Security Council Spokesperson Brian Hughes also stated, "This is a significant development and we hope it will help ease the concerns of our Turkish allies regarding our anti-ISIS partners in northeastern Syria. We believe it will help bring peace to this troubled region."

Neçirvan Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (IKBY), also expressed their support for the call, stating, "We are ready to play any role to make the process successful." The statement emphasized that better results and achievements can be obtained through democracy, not through weapons and violence.
