An incident occurred in the Mediterranean near Egypt's Port Said, where the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman collided with the Turkish cargo ship BEŞİKTAŞ-M. The collision, which took place on Wednesday night around 11:46 pm, resulted in no casualties and no significant damage to the ships. According to US 6th Fleet spokesperson, Colonel Timothy Gorman, the aircraft carrier did not take on water, and its propulsion systems were not affected. The Turkish cargo ship, owned by Synergy Ship Management, was en route from Port Said to Constanta, Romania, but no further information was provided about its condition.

The Pentagon confirmed the incident, stating that the USS Harry S. Truman collided with M/V BESIKTAS-M near Port Said on Wednesday around 11:45 pm. An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
