moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet French leader Emmanuel Macron before the end of the month as part of an unscheduled visit to Paris. That reported Russian media on Monday.

Putin will allegedly see the newly elected President Macron during his visit on the occasion of the official opening of an exhibition about former Russian ruler Peter the Great. A senior official of the Kremlin said to the Russian newspaper Kommersant that the two men will meet each other on May 29 as part of Poetin's 'full agenda'.

The exhibition 'Peter the Great: a Tsar in France' runs until the end of September in the Great Trianon at the Palace in Versailles. The special event celebrates the three hundredth anniversary of the first visit of Tsar Peter to France and the beginning of full diplomatic relations between the two states.
