A 22-year-old student committed a horrific act at the University of Warsaw, killing a female staff member with an axe and injuring a male guard severely.

Details of the Incident

The female victim was closing the Auditorium Maximum building when the suspect attacked her around 6:40 pm, resulting in her immediate death. A 38-year-old guard tried to intervene but got seriously wounded. The perpetrator, a 22-year-old law student, was swiftly apprehended with the help of the Polish Security Service.

Witness Accounts

Witnesses described the attacker as acting irrationally, making disturbing remarks during the assault. Shocked students shared their experiences, expressing fear and disbelief.

Campus Response and Investigation

The University of Warsaw declared a day of mourning, canceling classes. Authorities are yet to determine the motive behind the brutal attack, with more details expected to be released by the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office.
