chicago - Airline United Airlines is going to sell fewer tickets per flight. This causes the company to prevent it from getting involved in an incident like earlier this month when a passenger on a transferred flight was removed from the device by hand, causing him to get injured.
It is common for airlines to sell more tickets for a flight than there are actually seats. That's because there are almost always one or more passengers flying away. If everybody shows up, airlines usually offer a financial compensation for volunteers.
United announced Thursday to raise the maximum allowance for volunteer expatriates to $ 10,000 (9170 euros).
On the transferred flight at which the incident occurred, everyone refused to volunteer on board. Eventually, a doctor of Asian descent was taken out of the plane. The incident, filmed by another passenger, came United to be critical of a storm.
