Uncertainty about cause of death Pablo Neruda

santiago - Researchers have again questioned the death of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. After the discovery of an unknown bacterium, Spanish forensic specialists are no longer sure that Neruda has died of the effects of cancer.

Communist Neruda died several days after the coup on September 11, 1973, against democratically elected President Salvador Allende. According to Neruda's then driver, dictator agents Augusto Pinochet Neruda poisoned while lying in a hospital.

The Nobel Prize winner's body was excavated in 2013 for further investigation. Then no evidence was found that Neruda was killed during the Pinochet dictatorship. But the Spanish specialists who continued the investigation now know that natural death is not necessarily obvious.

In the body they found a bacterium that was possibly grown in the laboratory. The bacterium is being tested and within six to twelve months the result should be within. 'We can not confirm whether the death of Pablo Neruda's death was natural or violent,' said one of the researchers.
