UN: Set safe drinking water in Ukraine

- The UN make an urgent appeal to the warring parties in eastern Ukraine to secure access to clean drinking water in Donetsk. The international organization is concerned about the impact of the ongoing conflict on civilians.

According to the UN is the limited access to clean drinking water for the 300.000 inhabitants of the area has become a problem. Especially after the staff of a water treatment company on March 13 has been evacuated because it was unsafe. The international organization asks to leave unharmed civil institutions and fear of serious consequences if the water company did not immediately opens again.
