- The UN Security Council urges all Member States to join in the fight against Islamic State (IS). The fifteen-member council adopted Friday unanimously adopted a resolution stating that " all necessary measures " to be taken to combat the terror group.
The resolution was introduced by France. The Security Council urges all countries in their efforts whenever possible to double in order to prevent new terrorist attacks. Also need to cooperate to ensure that the number of attendees jihad is reduced.
The resolution was adopted one week after the attacks in Paris. IS staged several attacks in which 130 people died.
