chicago - Uber has been fined by the US city of Chicago. When the service in 2015 could not pick up passengers at the airport of the city, Uber adviser David Plouffe sent an email to Mayor Rahm Emanuel with a request for help.

Plouffe and Emanuel knew each other well, they had worked together for President Barack Obama. But Plouffe was not registered as a lobbyist for Uber, and was therefore unable to contact.

Plouffe must now pay a fine of 90 000 dollars, converted 84 000. Uber was fined $ 2,000 (nearly 1,900 euros). Uber acknowledged guilt, but asked for a lower sentence. '' In this case we made a mistake and we abide by the decision, '' said Uber in a comment.
