manila - Shortly before the arrival of US President Donald Trump in the Philippine capital of Manila, protesters opposed his policy to the US Embassy on Sunday. The riot police have been deployed to keep protesters a kilometer away from the embassy building. There is also a water cannon in use.

The protesters are against fascism, imperialism and against Trump, according to their banners. The slogan 'Dump Trump' shows the dislike of American policy.

Trump is on the eve of a regional summit in the Philippines. He is dining on Sunday evening with the leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) who start their summit on Monday.

Manila is the last destination on the Asia trip of Trump who brought him to Japan, South Korea and China. He returns to the US on Tuesday.
