Turkish Foreign Minister to Meet with EU High Representative Kallas

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is scheduled to meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas in Ankara tomorrow. The discussions are expected to focus on reviewing Turkey-EU relations and identifying areas for progress, as well as evaluating key regional developments affecting both Turkey and the EU.

The discussions will also include topics such as the Ukraine-Russia War, the situation in Gaza and Palestine, and the stability and reconstruction of Syria, among other critical regional issues. Minister Fidan is expected to emphasize Turkey's strategic goal of EU membership and the importance of revitalizing the accession process. Additionally, he will highlight the need to start negotiations on updating the Customs Union without delay, renewing migration cooperation based on fair burden and responsibility sharing, and finalizing the Visa Liberalization Dialogue.
