Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya during the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Johannesburg. The two officials discussed political and economic relations, as well as potential cooperation in defense industry and advanced technology fields.
Discussion on Gaza Situation
Minister Fidan emphasized the need for international efforts to ensure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. He also stated that the Israel-Palestine issue can only be resolved through a two-state solution. The security situation in the Asia-Pacific region was also evaluated during the meeting.
