ankara - The main Turkish opposition party CHP is asking for a recount of perhaps 60 percent of the votes Sunday were cast in the referendum for presidential power. That Vice President Erdal Aksünger Sunday said in Ankara just before the results were known.

The CHP complained earlier in the day already 'illegal acts' in favor of the government during the elections. That had more to do with the statement by the High Election Board that were not to be counted by officials stamped ballots, provided that there was no fraud. With nearly 99 percent of votes counted was the yes camp on 51.3 percent of the vote, the no camp on 48.7 percent.

The pro-Kurdish HDP said that referendum has demonstrated so many dissenting how the Turkish community is divided. A spokesman said that the party leaders are in prison and that the referendum is held while the state of emergency has been declared a shadow over the legitimacy of the vote.
