Trump wants to privatize space station ISS

World February 12, 2018 07:57

washington - The American president Trump wants to privatize the international space station ISS, instead of getting it out of business in 2024. The Washington Post newspaper claims to have relied on documents showing that space agency NASA is 'expanding international and commercial partnerships over the next seven years to enable human presence in space.'

Washington has already spent roughly $ 100 billion (81 billion euros) at the station and expects to invest another $ 150 million next year.

The United States works in the space station with the European Space Agency, Japan and Russia. If the US withdraw from the space station, that location is expected to be occupied by countries such as China and Russia.
