washington, d.c., usa - Donald Trump will officially start his second presidential term at an indoor ceremony today, breaking a 40-year tradition.

Indoor Oath Ceremony for Trump's Second Term

President-elect Donald Trump will take the oath today at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., marking the start of his second term in office. Due to the cold weather in Washington, the traditional outdoor ceremony will be held indoors for the first time since 1985. The event, which will begin with various concerts and activities, will be attended by a limited number of guests. The oath ceremony will start around 8:30 PM (GMT+3) with Vice President JD Vance and then Trump taking the oath of office.

'Invitation to Populists'

In a break from tradition, Trump has invited many international leaders to the event, including Vice President Han Cıng on behalf of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Italian Prime Minister, Argentine leader Javier Milei, Giorgia Meloni, British populist politician Nigel Farage, French far-right figure Eric Zemmour, and former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The presence of mostly populist and far-right figures in the guest list has drawn attention.

Yesterday evening, Trump celebrated with his supporters at a golf club in Washington.
