- President Trump's decision to supply Israel with heavier bombs raises concerns about the impact on the Israeli arsenal. Will this make Israel untouchable?

Trump's Decision to Supply Heavier Bombs to Israel

Rumors suggest that President Trump is considering supplying Israel with heavier bombs, including the 'Mother of All Bombs' (MOAB), one of the most powerful non-nuclear weapons in the US arsenal.

Previously, President Biden had halted the delivery of certain bombs to Israel following ongoing attacks on Gaza. The MOAB, a massive ordnance air blast bomb, is capable of causing extensive damage within a wide radius due to its immense explosive power and the elimination of oxygen in the blast zone.

The MOAB, developed in 2003 and first used in 2017 in Afghanistan, is not regulated by international agreements on nuclear weapons. While Israel has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the MOAB, challenges remain due to its weight and policy considerations.

Despite the speculation, the immediate delivery of the MOAB to Israel is unlikely. However, Trump's intentions to shift US-Israel policy are clear, with discussions on potential strategic implications for deterring threats from Iran.
