Trump releases FBI chief Comey

washington - US President Donald Trump has fired FBI director James Comey on Tuesday. He decided to put Comey on the advice of Justice Minister Jeff Sessions and his deputy Rod Rosenstein, who announced the White House.

Comey's departure marks a new beginning for our law enforcement law enforcement, 'Trump said in a statement. Who will follow him is still unknown.

James Comey was appointed in 2013 by former President Barack Obama.
