west palm beach - According to two senior government officials, President Donald Trump wants the early departure of US troops from Syria, he told his advisers.

Prior to the Easter weekend that he spends in his country house in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said Thursday in a meeting with advisers in Richfield, Ohio, that he wanted to transfer the security duties to countries in the region. He referred to the victories of the Allies on fighters of Islamic State and said as soon as possible to leave Syria.

'We are going back to our own country, where we belong, where we want to be,' said Trump there according to the anonymous officials. However, the advisers are still talking about the measures. Some have advised Trump, among other things, to leave a limited number of American troops behind in Syria for a few years, in order to prevent a large Iranian influence.

Approximately 2,000 American troops are stationed in Syria.
