washington - Donald Trump has expressed his confidence in the special prosecutor who is investigating possible Russian influence on the elections. The US president told The New York Times to expect Robert Mueller to treat him 'honestly'.
Former FBI director Mueller is looking, among other things, at possible contacts between members of the Trump campaign team and the Russians. Trump repeated several times during the interview that no evidence of 'collusion' has come to light. According to the president 'everyone knows' that there was no question of that.
The President's fellow Members have questioned the impartiality of the Mueller team. For example, an FBI researcher would have sent text messages in which he was extremely critical about Trump. He would have been removed from the team by now.
