- US President Donald Trump and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen clashed over Greenland in a recent phone call, according to reports.

US-Denmark Dispute Over Greenland

US President Donald Trump and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen reportedly had a heated 45-minute phone call last week regarding the issue of Greenland. According to sources, the conversation was described as 'very bad' by five top European officials. Frederiksen stated that Greenland was 'not for sale,' despite offering increased cooperation with the US on establishing new military bases and mining in the region. Trump was accused of taking an 'aggressive and hostile' stance towards Frederiksen's proposals. Trump had previously expressed interest in acquiring Greenland, suggesting that it was essential for US national security. He even hinted at imposing additional tariffs on Denmark if they opposed the idea. The US President did not rule out the possibility of using military force to secure control over the island. Trump's comments have sparked controversy and tensions between the US and Denmark.
