bruges - A tree hugger must pay heavily: Alain now has to pay three tons or sell his house. And it will probably be the last.
The 53-year-old Alain De Coessemaeker has been in trouble for years with his neighbors in the Belgian town of Assebroek who think his trees are on their inheritance. The green has emotional value for him because it is planted around the time his mother died.
