- Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 synchronize transfer window closure to prevent staggered deals, setting unified deadline at 7 p.m. UK time.

European Leagues Coordinate Transfer Window Closure

The top five European football leagues have reached an agreement to harmonize the closure of their summer transfer windows simultaneously, ending the practice of staggered deal days.

Unified Deadline

Clubs in the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 will now have until 7 p.m. UK time on deadline day to complete transfers, avoiding the previous discrepancies in closing times.

Two-Window System

This summer will see a unique two-window system, with the first window running from June 1 to June 10, followed by a second window closing on Monday, September 1. The primary window opens on June 16 in England and July 1 in the other leagues.

Improved Transfer Process

Previously, leagues closed their windows at different times, leading to potential issues for clubs losing players late in the day. With the new agreement, clubs now have a uniform deadline, providing a fair and balanced opportunity for all teams to conduct transfers.

The synchronized closure also allows clubs more time to finalize deals after submitting a deal sheet, which grants extra time for completing transfers near the deadline.

Going forward, all leagues will align their transfer window closure times for both summer and winter windows, streamlining the process and ensuring a level playing field for clubs across Europe.
