TomTom and Amsterdam collaborate

amsterdam - TomTom has teamed up with the City of Amsterdam to make the traffic flow better and parking in the capital efficiently. The two sides on Wednesday signed an agreement on this.

Amsterdam will use the understanding of traffic that the maker of navigation devices. When sudden changes can then be acted upon quickly to send traffic over another route. Also, consequences of certain actions to be taken better into the holes, for example the closure of Vijzelgracht head at the end of this year.

Consumers are by their navigation better and led around the city and get suggestions about parking. That saves unnecessary laps, says councilor Pieter Litjens (mobility).

TomTom, the project insights on urban mobility, which can use the company to develop new products.
